Created in 2001, The Project on Race in Political Communication conducts original social science research on the interrelationship between race, language and power. Through RaceProject.org, their blog THIS WEEK IN RACE, and the RaceProject Facebook Page and corresponding Twitter feed, communication scholar Charlton McIlwain (New York University) and political scientist Stephen Maynard Caliendo (North Central College) share the findings of their own work, as well as that of others, and provide analysis and commentary that applies scholarly principles to current events and salient issues.
